Emily has been asking for around 8 weeks for us to take her stabilizers off her bike so she can learn how to ride her bike without them. Finally the end of last week we took the plunge and took them off (which she cried about!!! - I really don't understand her). Well anyway after half a hour she finally wanted a try. And how great did she do, within 30 minutes she was riding up and down on her own, with just a little help from us by holding her seat until she had put both feet on her pedals. Well by today, she can start on her own and even turns. I'm really chuffed, she is so proud of herself.

Well done, Emily! We STILL haven't bought the boys bikes yet, so Daniel is way behind on that learning curve. Ditto swimming lessons. And I meant to teach him to tie shoelaces this summer ... didn't happen either. *sigh* I'm a bad mommy.
