Sugar & Spice (and a little something nice!)

Well both girls have had their first days at school.

Emily got a bit nervous as we walked around the play ground to her classroom, but soon was walking off with new friends. She has yet to do a full day as she gets really tired by lunch time.

Megan just shocked me on her first day at pre-school, she couldn't wait to put her uniform on (just a t-shirt, but she thinks it's great!), she ran straight in, sat down to play with play-doh, turn around waved and shouted bye mummy bye. My heart just stopped, she didn't even give me a second thought just a wave.

There was me, my heart breaking as this was my second baby of the day to start her first day at school/pre-school and i was just dismissed. It was the first time i really wanted one of the girls to get upset (normally i'm saying, don't be silly i'll be back soon and you'll have a great time), i wanted one of them to give me a hug and say "it's alright mummy, you'll have a great time without us!

I love the girls so much that yes i do miss them when they are at school but i love it, that they are growing up and learning and growing every day. I am really trying to enjoy everyday that i have them with me at this age, but i do look forward to the days when i have longer to wipe snotty noses, change nappies, dress them, etc etc etc
